Multiple scholarships are now available for current high school seniors. If you meet the criteria below, we encourage you to submit an application.

- Current high school senior who will begin college in fall 2026

About Out for Education
Our organization traces its roots to 1998, when PFLAG-Houston joined forces with the Houston Area Teen Coalition of Homosexuals (H.A.T.C.H.) with the common goal of supporting LGBTQ+ youth in the Houston area. That collaboration led to the formation of the PFLAG/HATCH Youth Scholarship Foundation in 1999. In 2013 the foundation adopted the name Out for Education to better reflect its focus on education and service to the LGBTQ+ community.
