Program overview
Our Scholars receive a wide-ranging suite of success supports designed to accelerate academic and civic impact. Offerings include individualized mentoring, access to professional networks, internship assistance, opportunities to design and lead personal and community-focused projects, an annual Summer Symposium, funding opportunities, and curriculum centered on four core pillars: Leadership, Professional Development, Personal Growth, and Community Change. A committed network of staff, volunteers, donors, and alumni surrounds each Scholar, creating a distinctive support system that helps participants build lasting, intergenerational change in their communities.
Eligibility
To be considered, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a high school senior expected to graduate in Spring 2026 and plan to enroll at a four-year accredited college or university.
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident and reside legally in one of the following locations: Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Utah, or select California counties (Los Angeles County, Riverside County, or Orange County).
- Hold a cumulative, unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Demonstrate financial need, with annual household income not exceeding $80,000.
- Exhibit strong leadership abilities, resilience in the face of adversity, and a clear dedication to serving and improving your community.
Application process
Applications open on September 1, 2025 for students graduating in Spring 2026. All stages of the application must be completed to be eligible for consideration for Greenhouse. If you are admitted into the program, you will not need to submit a new application each year. Scholarship awards are renewable and may provide up to $5,000 annually.
