Overview
The Jackie Robinson Foundation offers a comprehensive program that goes beyond covering college expenses — it also provides guidance and support to help students navigate higher education successfully.
Eligibility
To qualify for the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a high school senior graduating in the current year.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Show a strong academic record.
- Exhibit leadership qualities and a commitment to community service.
- Intend to enroll at an accredited, JRF-approved four-year college or university in the United States, or at an institution affiliated with a U.S.-based college or university.
- Have completed no more than 25% of the credits required for a college degree.
Application components
The Jackie Robinson Foundation’s application is submitted online and requires the following elements:
- One letter of recommendation
- Demographic information
- High school details, including an unofficial transcript
- Intended college plans
- Test scores (optional): AP, IB, PSAT, ACT, or SAT
- A list of activities and honors/distinctions
- Household/financial information
- CSS Profile submission
- Four personal essays
