You may begin the application, save your work, and return at any time up until the March 1, 2026 deadline. However, to make the process smoother, we highly recommend completing the following tasks before you start:
Preparation checklist
- Look over a complete list of application questions.
- Ask a parent to prepare a short statement explaining your family’s financial need.
- Draft five essays in advance (each essay up to 250 words); proofread for grammar and spelling.
- Prepare four documents as PDFs for upload.
Essays
- Note: five essays are required (each is limited to 250 words). Example prompts include:
1. Aside from a family member, who has had the biggest influence on your life?
2. Which campus activities are you most excited to participate in as a college student?
3. Identify three activities you are most proud of — describe each, explain why it matters to you, and how you showed leadership.
Documents to upload (PDF format)
1. Carlson School acceptance letter
2. FAFSA Submission Summary (or another document showing financial need)
3. High school transcript
4. Resume (preferably a single page)
