About the scholarship
The Quad City Engineering & Science Council (QCESC) administers this scholarship program. Multiple one-time awards will be granted, each ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. Scholarship funds must be applied to tuition or eligible fees for the STEM program described in the eligibility section above. In addition, several engineering colleges may offer supplemental scholarships through the same application process.
Selection process and criteria
Applications are evaluated anonymously (reviewers will not see names, addresses, schools, or gender) to ensure an objective selection. Evaluations are based on academic achievement, community/civic service, extracurricular activities, stated career objectives, and the applicant’s essay.
Award presentation
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Annual Engineers Week STEM Celebration on or about February 26, 2026. Winners will attend as guests of the QCESC. Family members are welcome to join but must purchase tickets at the regular event rate; for more information contact Tom Hein. Recipients will be asked to provide a photograph for publication with the award announcement in local Quad City newspapers and on the QCESC website. Applicant contact information may be shared with QCESC member organizations to notify students of other scholarship opportunities.
