About Austin J. Hart
Austin J. Hart was a lively, curious individual with a lifelong passion for anything with an engine — especially hot rods. He believed in setting goals, working hard, and living with strong morals and consideration for family and friends. After completing his studies at Colorado State University in a short timeframe, Austin opened Hart Body Shop and later relocated his business to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, to pursue his ambition of professional jet ski racing.
Outside of work, Austin loved outdoor activities such as fishing, dirt biking, off-roading, and golfing, and he had a soft spot for rescuing dogs. A devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, he shared wisdom and support freely and left a lasting, joyful impression on those around him. In his memory, his parents, Julie and Cody Hart, together with his sister Brittany Hart and contributions from friends and family, created this memorial scholarship to continue Austin’s legacy of generosity and enthusiasm.
Application period
The 2026 application window is open from January 15 to March 15, 2026.
