At North Texas Plastic Surgery, we hold a deep appreciation for education and the performing arts! We believe that these fields foster self-assuredness, emotional expression, and empathy in the youth. Furthermore, the performing arts act as a catalyst for promoting creativity and innovative thinking for future generations.
In honor of individuals involved in the performing arts, we're thrilled to introduce our Excellence in Academics and Performing Arts Scholarship! This esteemed $1,000 scholarship aims to recognize and assist those who have demonstrated excellence in both academic and performing arts pursuits.
We invite you to peruse the eligibility and application instructions outlined below, and provide an essay discussing the interconnection between the performing arts, your academic journey, and your personal evolution.

Eligibility
- This scholarship is accessible to high school seniors, vocational students, college students, and graduate students who are legal residents of the U.S., residing in any of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a vocational program or a two-to-four-year accredited higher education institution.
- North Texas Plastic Surgery employees, their immediate family members (including parents, children, siblings, or spouses), and any individuals residing in the same household, irrespective of their relationship, are deemed ineligible to apply.
- Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be in good academic standing.
Application Requirements
- Applicants must complete the form provided below with all required details.
- Applicants are required to submit an essay of 500-600 words in response to the following prompt: Describe your academic and performing arts experiences and how they have collectively contributed to your personal growth.
- Be aware that all essays will be screened for AI-generated content. Applications containing AI-written essays will be disqualified.
- Applicants must provide a professional resume outlining their professional, extracurricular, and academic achievements.
- Applicants need to submit a transcript from their current institution. Freshmen, graduate students, or those who have recently switched institutions can submit an unofficial transcript from their present institution and the most recent official transcript from their previous institution. High school students are allowed to submit their college or university acceptance letter as proof.
- Preference might be accorded to students either originating from or studying in Texas-based secondary schools.
The application closes on December 31st, 2025. The recipient of the Excellence in Academics and Performing Arts Scholarship will be selected in the month immediately following the application deadline.
