Eligibility
This award is available to any female student with an interest in the metalcasting industry. Applicants must have an active, complete, and up-to-date FEF student profile before applying.
Overview / Award Presentation
The scholarship will be presented at the 2026 AFS Metalcasting Congress, held April 14–16, during the Women in Metalcasting event.
Who May Apply
- Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled at a four-year college or university and be registered with FEF.
Application Materials and Requirements
- Recommendation: Submit one letter of recommendation (from a professor, workplace supervisor, clergy, or similar) that addresses the applicant’s leadership, integrity, and/or involvement in metalcasting activities. Only a single recommendation letter will be reviewed. Attach the letter to your application form.
- Personal Statement: Using the application form, provide a 250–500 word career objective statement focused on cast metals. In this statement describe your exposure to cast metals, how your background supports a career in cast metals, your interests and strengths in cast metal technology, and any participation in professional or student organizations (for example, Women in Manufacturing or AFS Women in Metalcasting). You may cut and paste your statement into the application text box.

Complete applications must be received by February 28, 2026, by 4:00 PM Central Time. (Note: deadlines may be adjusted in future years.)
