Madera County Farm Bureau Scholarship Program — Overview
The Madera County Farm Bureau Scholarship Program exists to support and develop future leaders in agriculture. We are committed to helping students who show a strong interest in agriculture and service to their community pursue postsecondary education. If you are dedicated to contributing to the agricultural community, we encourage you to submit an application.
Who is Eligible
- Must live in Madera County.
- Must be a high school senior graduating in 2026.
- Students may attend high school outside Madera County only if their legal residence is in Madera County.
Fields of Study Supported
- Agriculture-related majors and programs
- Agricultural education
- Trade and technical skills tied to agriculture
- Certain awards may cover any field of study for applicants who are children of agricultural farm laborers
Available Awards
- One multi-year scholarship totaling $8,000 (disbursed as $2,000 per year for four years)
- Three named multi-year scholarships of $10,000 each (disbursed as $2,500 per year for four years)
- One two-year trade skills scholarship totaling $4,000 (disbursed as $2,000 per year)
How Recipients Are Chosen
Selection will be based on:
- Academic achievement
- Involvement in school and community activities
- Demonstrated leadership
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- A completed application form
- High school transcript showing cumulative GPA
- Three (3) letters of recommendation (no relatives may write recommendations)
Deadline and Submission Instructions
All application materials must be postmarked or emailed by Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Email submissions must include all required items (transcripts and recommendation letters) to be considered complete.
