Introduction
Born from Anthony and his family’s dedication to supporting motivated students in pursuing local higher education, the Foundation funds several scholarships of $20,000 each for select Tri-State high school seniors.
Application opening date
The 2026 Scholarship Fund will begin accepting applications on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Required materials
Applicants are evaluated through interviews and selected based on financial need, academic performance, resilience in the face of hardship, and a strong drive to succeed. Your submission must include the following items:
- Completed Anthony Muñoz Foundation Scholarship Application Form
- Personal essay
- Acceptance letter from the college or university you plan to attend, if available
- College or university student ID number, if available
- Complete high school transcript covering your entire high school career, current through the application date
- Current family financial documentation, including the Student Information Summary from the student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) account
Eligibility criteria
To be considered for an Anthony Muñoz Foundation scholarship, applicants must meet these requirements (this list is not exhaustive):
- Be enrolled at a high school within the Foundation’s Area of Impact
- Plan to enroll as a freshman in Fall 2026 at an eligible Tri-State college or university (a list of eligible and ineligible institutions is available online)
- Demonstrate both financial need and a record of overcoming adversity, as well as the ambition to succeed
