Overview
Since its founding, PGA REACH New England has granted more than $1,000,000 in college scholarships to junior golfers in New England and to the children, grandchildren and stepchildren of PGA Professionals. Under the guidance of PGA REACH New England and its Scholarship Committee, the foundation is working to increase both the number of scholarships and the total annual funding available. Details about specific awards, eligibility rules, and how to apply can be found online.

Application process and checklist
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must submit the correct scholarship application fully completed. All information provided must be accurate; application materials are treated as confidential and reviewed by the foundation and committee members.

Before you begin, review the eligibility criteria for each scholarship carefully. Most PGA REACH New England awards require some combination of the items below:

- Essay
- A short essay (500 words or fewer) addressing: “Why should the applicant receive this scholarship?”

- Transcript
- Provide transcripts from the prior year’s Fall semester.

- College acceptance letter
- Include a copy of your official acceptance letter from your college or university.

- Extracurricular and volunteer activities
- Describe any community service, volunteer work, or extracurricular involvement, including your role and duration.

- Letters of recommendation
- Submit recommendations from a Golf Professional, employer, high school coach, teacher, or another non-family person who can speak to your qualifications and character.

- Professional headshot
- Attach a headshot or professional photograph of yourself.
